Finally! SOmething to compete with the A8, 7, S Class, LS, XJ, etc...

Interesting to see how close the production version will come to the fuga...hopefully the interior wont be cheapened TOO much, although i know it wont be as gorgeous as the concept.

No actually its competing against E class/5 series/GS/A6 etc. Infiniti will introduce M35 with 280hp V6 and M45.

C-Note is Renault Megane based. And it'll be our Next Sentra

Are all economy cars doomed to become tall wagons???

  9. 10-14-2003 04:49 PM #9
Many people have already been to M45/M35 "Car Clinics", and the Nissan Fuga looks exactly how the next M45/M35 is described to be. NICE! Love it!

  10. 10-14-2003 04:52 PM #10
Hmmm, Nissan was supposed to debut 2 more concepts. One is the new President. That leaves 1 left. Can we say GTR?

    Oh yeah it could be

  19. 10-14-2003 05:29 PM #19
Better chance that it's the GTR than the FX. The Tokyo Motor Show comes only once every 2 years. Nissan needs a flagship.

I hope it has the star wars head and taillights of the Fuga.

    Effis

'F' that. I'm one that likes odd little vehicles, but man, that crosses the line...

  24. 10-14-2003 08:06 PM #24

And thus through the development of the Effis, Nissan has finally won the race to build the first car whose headlights touch the A-pillar. Toyota hangs its head in shame. "We thought the new Solara would hold them off."

    Fuga--M45 or Q45 size?

That would make a great Q45 replacement. The current one is nowhere near competitive, in the US market at least.

Actually, some Turkish carmaker showed some Smart-wannabe at the Frankfurt (or Geneva?) show a couple years ago that had A-pillar-stretch headlights. Also, Mitsubishi's '01 Spaceliner concept had superstretch headlights as well.

Its replacing Cedric/Gloria in Japan, which is our M45. Cima/Q45 replacement is a couple of years away.

Fuga will be the replacement for the Infiniti M... is that what I gather?

The Fuga looks nice... but the M is pretty sweet... it's soooooooooo bad ass right now...
