Over the weekend I replaced the driveshaft in my '89 E32. Everything went well except the gear selector doesn't line up with the right gears anymore.
Here's what I got-
P - Park however its no longer locking the wheels so the car rolls in this position.
In between P-R is Reverse.
R - Neutral
N - the car goes only in first gear, does not shift out of it
D - Goes thru all the gears normally

Is this a simple matter of lining up the linkage??
