It's been a long day and I'm loopy and tired, so all I can think of is pretty cars at the moment; I'm goofy like that.

Show us a "pretty car" or two. Identify each, sils vous plais. Leave aside the "hairy", "macho" stuff. Think...pretty.

    1953 Studebaker Starlight Coupe. Pretty:

I question some peoples' concept of pretty... but that's okay!

Anyway, some of my all time favorite pretty cars:

    Porsche 356 Coupe:

    Buick Riviera:

    Continental MkII

    1935 Ford Phaeton:

    BMW 507:

I could go on all night...

Now that I think about it, Jaguar has a history of producing very pretty cars. Is there an award for "prettiest car company?"

How did this thread not have an Aston in the first few posts?

I've always felt the OG ponycar, before it got all fat tired and v-8'd, had a very pretty, well balanced, almost delicate (but notfragile) look

Two fine Datsuns, the 510 and 240z. I love them both.

    Yes, 'pretty' is subjective!

    Pure knee-weakening, jaw-dropping, pretty:

    Ferrari 212 Export Vignale Spyder

When I saw this car, I was half the concours away and yet it stood out even among the giants that surrounded it. It was a car that made me want to live my life better.

Allow me to add something a little different to this thread. Behold, the Hirohata 1949 Mercury.

Both in his choice of starting vehicle and his custom touches, Hirohata shaped the trends of the custom car scene that last even to this day. But while the vast majority of the customs that followed were exercizes in gonzo exuberance (if not all-out ham-fisted over-the-topness), the Hirohata Merc just looks classy. It's a very pretty design, and one which still looks clean and subtle today.
