Thread: Adrian VanHooydonk Describes the 1 Series Styling (video)

BMW Head of Design Adrian Van Hooydonk gives us a walkaround of the 1 Series coupe styling. Yes, the car's been out for more than six months now, but BMW apparently thinks we need a little more explanation of their smallest coupe.

The outgoing Z4 and the incoming X6 need a lot more explanations than the 1

The 1-series looks like that little pedal car for toddlers.......the cozy coupe. It's too tall and dorky and pointless, just buy an E46 instead,it's actually smaller looking or get the new 3-series coupe,it has the same hardware with sexier styling.

I'll admit, it's a bit awkaward looking in pictures, but it looks much better in person. And it doesn't feel awkward at all from the driver's seat. I had a girlfriend with a new Beetle- that thing actually felt strange. The 1er isn't like that at all. I didn't buy it for its looks anyway, I like the way it drives. Reminds me of my E30 325is.
