I should think that's absolutely preposterous, but I don't. In fact, I think it totally kicks ass.

I like the idea of the jeep, but I can't say I like the execution. Lose the ridiculous intake and the roll bar, put an early drop axle on the front with hairpin control arms (extended forward, naturally) and I'd be all over it, as long as it was built well and thought out properly. That'd be pretty kickass, imo.

The 'bonus' is fantastic, though I'd likely make a fenderless bed for it. It's cool the way it is, though. That's the whole point of building a custom. Don't worry about what I think, do it how you wish!

What engine is this? (willy's rat rod rozap content)

This Jeep was posted the other day, but that thread has vanished.

Can anyone tell me what engine this is?

I can honestly say, I have no idea
I could only go about guessing that it might be one of the 4-71 or 4BT Diesels

I see a turbo on the passenger side, I can only assume there is another on the driver side. Looks to be an I4 or I6 of some sort.... was going to say a diesel, but it looks like there are spark plug wires.

      **** looks crazy, that's all I know.

It must be Inline 6 Diesel from one of the big 3 pick ups (guessing Dodge)

I see a t-belt and an adjustable cam gear so I would think not.

Probably no, but not a definite no.

4BT was my original thought as well, but then I had the same thought as Air & Water...

(I hope nobody thinks I have the answer...)

I see you are not familiar with the General Motors 1980's diesel magic making fuel system. Look ma, no injection pump or injectors! The system mostly worked by one tiny midget pouring fuel into the intake manifold and another covering the hold with a bit of tin.

This above contraption seems to have a pump and some nifty copper fuel lines of some sort, so all that stuff up above might be a bit of a fuel system "cod piece" if you will.

      So nobody knows.

      Huh.

I thought you know-it-alls knew everything.

      EDIT:

Thanks for the merge, I dug, but really couldn't find the original thread.
