Also, I've just been made aware of a trunk wiring issue that can cause fires... good to know. easy to fix, just need to diagnose the wires in the trunk harness

awesome thread! I own 3 e36s, I love these things. A 94 325i vert, a 98 328 sedan, and a 99 M3 vert. I've never gotten around to taking proper pics, but here are a couple cell phone shots.
Sorry for the bad quality, there all I have for now.

I believe there are only four genuine E36 Alpinas in North America - two B8 and two B3. I'm lucky enough to own a B3 and would love to have a B8 too! Mine is a B3 sedan in Hellrot red. It was imported from Japan to Canada a few years ago. Here's a few pics:
      Beautiful car.

I'm thinking about an 3.0 or 3.2 B3 Coupe or Cabrio. Great cars, classic BMW straight six at it's best.

My Estoril blue vert with a manual trans. It was a 99 and I got it with 100k for $4500. Other than the a couple rips in the drivers seat it was nearly perfect and had all its maintenance kept up on. So far it's been 10x as reliable as our VW.

I love them but I could never live with the steering wheel. Any upgrades that keep the airbag? Not that a 13-18 year old airbag would be that great. Well there are some 18 year old airbags that I'd love to cushion my face at a high rate of speed, but that's neither here nor there.

Beautiful car. What a steal at 4500. You could double your money overnight.

      ^^^Perfection.

Dan, what headlights are those and how did you wire the city lights?

I just bought a nicely kept 1997 M3 Sedan. Its in amazingly good shape, never seen a winter despite living all of its life in Vermont. Everything except the radio works, has a few light mods (drilled rotors, bilstein shocks, wheels). Only issue I had originally is that its an automatic, but for my purposes (daily driver in city traffic, occasional baby hauler), I kind of like having it. Has 136k miles, and I bought it for $5900, which as far as I can tell is a very decent price.

Posted this one here before, but last year we found this '93 325i for $1200 and drove it home for my kid's GF.

It's needed a water pump and a coil pack and a basic tuenup, but that's it mechanically. It also needed both front window regulators because the PO trashed them trying to install a **** stereo system. Luckily he hadn't had it long enough to truly trash it and was using the money to go buy another Civic. It's been a good car for her since we got it.
