I guess you never really know. I only know from my own experience volunteering with my mom that kids (probably no surprise here) are all individuals. She worked for years with a range of special needs kids, and the best part was getting to know all the kids she worked with. They were all amazing kids.

      You do good, I'm sure.

Don't feel too bad. We often have to explain to my daughter that our son is not a dog.

You know, if that was the actual story title, I'd be more inclined to read it.

While play fetch with the dog, my son decided he liked it too. He is way better than the dog, because he returns the toy. He was 2 when he took interest.

Thought about that, but the problem is the yard. It's a very steep hill and very rocky. My geologist friend says that's because I practically live on a mountain. The ground is loaded with quartz and shale. The soil isn't very deep.

I had a friend in high school who's younger brother was special needs. I don't remember exactly what his condition was. We were going to a wrestling match and we hop inside and my friend sees all these tupperware containers and lids on the dash. He goes, "Hey! This is my brother's van! He loves tupperware and always plays with it." That was the first and only time I ever heard him mention his brother.

Kids are all the same. $300 toy playhouse and the kid plays with the cardboard box it came in. You just never know what will capture their attention.

This is typical older/ younger sibling relationships. I used to make my younger sister get me stuff all the time. Once he realizes he does not have to, things change.

T-minus 48 hours until I have 75 people at my house.

I was just notified that the tent people have finished setting up the tent.

Per Twitter per Reuters per CBS News per NYPD, not terrorism.

So please, do not take out your fearful aggression on any innocent Hondas. To be clear, this is what the vehicle that is not to blame. Do not attack this vehicle.

Nice. Oh to be a dog. I take Max to my mom's house everyday and he does not get out of bed until I open the door to leave.

same. The 7yo and the 5yo like to play "puppy" with the 2.5yo. I;d be lying if I said didn't laugh when the puppy got pissed one time and bit the 5yo on the leg (no blood).

      I know.

We all generally mean well, in spite of our screen personas. Well, except Emmett. We're not sure he has that filter sometimes.

So kids are like cats in that way. Buy them toys, they play with the box. Or a twist-tie that was in the box. Or the ring from a milk jug.

I've never had a problem pitching my own tent.....but if I can pay someone to do it for me it's that much more satisfying.

I don't recall hearing anybody here in CSB-ville getting invites.

Start working on your naive, innocent voice. "What would I have to do to get this job?"

It's a belated 1st Birthday Party for my son. It would be kind of awkward to have a bunch of internet weirdos show up.

A 1st Birthday Party with several coolers full of beer. But a 1st Birthday Party nonetheless.
