I'm always amazed at people over the years that look can completely different from one photo to another.

I've always looked the same in nearly every single photo I've been in since I was 22.

Ha...all the girls I've been with have been quiet (unless it's Wednesday at 3 pm). Not completely silent, but always aware that if they get loud, neighbors will hear and then I guess they'll feel awkward when they see them later on.

I've been in the same place for the past 11 years and have gone through a few neighbors. This one couple from ~5 years ago were super loud and annoying. They always banged between 11 and 11:30 every other night and she was not ashamed to call him "bayyyyyyyyyybeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!" First the bed would start squeaking, then the guy would jump up and slam the window shut...like that had any effect on the walls.

Luckily I haven't experienced that... yet. My foray back into an apartment in a week may break that cycle. My wife is t terrible loud but sometimes she can be and we've forgotten the window was open. It just comes with shared wall living. Regardless, 11 years gives you seniority in my opinion.

I think the longest I've lived in one place since leaving my parents house is 2 years. I'd like to break that cycle soon.

One of the guys at a dealership emails me in all caps and then when I call to see what's going on he screams in the phone too.

I really enjoy getting emails from him. My job title is so odd, so I'm supposed to be a network engineer, but since someone just left I took over all of his clients too. That makes me a systems admin for six companies now, one of which is a company that includes three dealerships.

We really need to hire someone to take over these businesses so I can get back to implementing important network advances. One of which is setting up some VLANs at said dealership, right now they have no QoS setup for their VOIP setup and complain all the time. But when I'm busy fixing Ron's privileges in service who screams at me nonstop it makes that difficult. Oh, and moving the network to a /23 because as of now by the time everyone comes online, then gets on with their phones, we've got around 10 IP's left in our DHCP pool.

It's okay though, I'm getting paid properly, just not able to do my job properly.

Ah yes, the joys of working in a VOIP company!

Wait, how come you're running out of IPs ? How big is your subnet ?

At the moment we are still sitting in a /24 that is divided between three dealerships. I'm sure it was fine at one point, but all three sit next to each other with 10Gbps fiber connections running between them. So now they have nearly 70 printers, plus the boxes at each television, every PC, and then employee phones, tablets, and god forbid someone use the guest network.

It's on my short list of things to fix, but I'm having a hell of a time finding time for it. Right now I just bond the important devices via MAC addresses so they get online no matter what and if we run out someone else is kicked but it is so stupid. I'll have to do it on a Sunday, which is fine, but I still need to map it.

Oh, forgot the phones! Also, no vlans, which is absolutely necessary if you're running voip devices, not to mention it's a general rule of thumb for best practices.

Fly. First stop is Chick Fil A obviously. I do however plan to drive my Outback to FL once it's swapped. I'm registering it down there.

The preferred Total Wine of McMike and Rabbit is right off the 95/495 mixing bowl. Lotta booze can fit in that outback.

Bird just flew into office (morbidly obese coworker keeps fire escape door open by his desk when it's cooler outside).
It flew around for five seconds (had food in its mouth), then flew back out the door.
I started singing bird is the word while doing the peter dance and everybody looked at me like I was crazy.
Oh well...they already thought I was nuts.

Just got a call from the wife, she locked her keys in the car and is waiting for AAA. Why do people use the lock button on the door when they have a remote on the keys so this doesn't happen?
