      Neuspeed RSe52

My baby the day I picked her up (had the dealer mount my new wheels). Neuspeed RSe52s in machined silver. 18x8.0 ET45 with 225 40 18 Michelin PSS tires. Light weight, look good, fit right. Also VERY easy to clean as you can just reach right in the wheel between the spokes.

I really like those Hartmanns. Wish they came in 18s so I wouldn't have to lower it.

I wish the Pretoria wheels came in 17 or 18 inch sizes.

I'm simply not a fan of black wheels and the Austin is largely a black wheel. If you have 18's there should, for me anyway, be as much bright silver as possible. The Laguna's on the GLI is a much nicer looking wheel, though I didn't like the wheel on the GTI's at the end of the MK6 run in the grey tone. I've owned VW's for decades and the brake dust in the past was a constant problem. The Grey wheels look like they are already covered in brake dust. The 18" wheels on the '15 Golf TDI SEL are some of the best looking wheels on any VW and should have been on the GTI.

Those Pretoria are sexy. Why does NA get such $hi&@ options in wheels, colors and available options.?

I thought the factory rims looked good. but I got a great deal on these and the dealer took the factory rims in on trade. I paid very little for all four installed. And now I don't got to deal with the unpainted wheel debacle.
How did you get the factory lug caps to fit on these? Granted I have a MK6, but I've had these wheels for quite a long time and my cars don't fit. I'm wondering if the MK7 lug caps are different/smaller?

      Looks great BTW!

I have the same question as I had the same issue with VMR 710s. That being said, the caps look to be 'riding high' in the pictures posted by Wiredin - they are not all the way down on the lug bolts...

I third the statement on the VW caps. The stock caps wouldn't fit my VMR 702 Wheels, even with the rubber band trick. I even ordered a larger set from a tiguan and they STILL wouldn't work. I've given up on getting the stock caps to fit and going with a sticker unless there's something I missed.

I believe we were commenting on the lug bolt covers and your chiming in on the center caps (I could be mistaken)... That being said, it would be good for VMR owners to know how he made both work.

      Awesome!

      Gold wheels are under appreciated.

3sdm 0.06 in 19x8.5" and they fit quite well with NO rubbing at all running some skinny 215/35-19 rubber.

Sitting on H&R Coilovers spun all the way down.

      What's that exhaust setup? Sexy...

I have never changed the rims on a car before, but I really don't like the Austins. I am considering changing them out with these rims: Enkei M52 in Hyper Black.

Are there any "gotchas" to changing out the rims on a new car? I plan to stick with the same size and I plan to keep the same tires. Any factory warrant issues with changing out rims? Any reason to keep the Austins around after I put new rims on?
