Good to know. I thought Kia's latest UVO system had gotten decent reviews for speediness, etc. I guess we'll see.

F'ing rad. Can't wait for preview drives and pricing.

The front turn signal graphics are cool/different.

Could be the brits or coulda been a tarted pre-pro model at the auto show (which is not unusual).

Well done indeed. Now how much and manuel? Hatchback sedan though? I mean this and the alfa could have single handedly swung the sedan demise back to the positive.

A lot of LED lights look like that on video. Something to do with the refresh rate of the lights and what the camera used is capable of capturing.

      Uh, yeah, I know that.

I more meant the design of the lighting element/surrounding graphics and not the strobe effect caused by the video rate.

Base model I assume, but yes it does.

Haven't had a chance to actually watch the video yet.

RWD, hatchback, quick, good looking. As far as "what would it take for you to actually buy a Kia?" they're making a good case for themselves here.

Modern-day Scorpio, and quicker and better looking than that ever was,

Yes, they are. A very good argument.

The Stinger at the 'ring: http://www.motortrend.com/cars/kia/s...-drive-review/

Kia said the U.S. spec cars will have a louder exhaust. The article also mentions a slighter softer dampers for the U.S. and its own version of the Michelin Pilot Sport 3.

Yes, the South Korean version has a toned down exhaust. There's some pricing and option information in this post. The Australian version seems to have lost a little power after the right-hand drive conversion but still expected to run 0-60 in 4.7-4.8 seconds...

Great write-up. Makes me thing the Stinger has definite possibilities depending on how the final pricing lines up.

A little disappointed to read that the AWD version isn't all that, but I guess it's not surprising given the extra weight, etc. Given that I'm in the mid-atlantic/NE the AWD was sort an automatic "option" for me, but perhaps a set of good snow tires would be a better investment,

      3800lb in RWD trim.

Didn't we crap on the GTR and NSX for being around that #?

Yet this car has had all kinds of praise heaped on it.

The GT-R and NSX are performance cars. The Stinger is on-par with its competition, weight-wise.
