You had air in your coolant recently too right? Has the car been over-heated? It could be a head gasket leak that is letting exhaust into the coolant. A shop with a 'sniffer' should be able to test if there is exhaust in the coolant.
Car didnt overheat. But i had just replaced the radiator due to an accident from the previous owner. I did find slightest oil reside on the plug hole for cyl 2
So im thinking it is the beginning of a headgasket. Had the wife start it and it was pouring out white smoke for 30sec or so on cold start. While misfiring. Car still drives well but i keep having to bleed the coolant and adding coolant.
Im prepping to do the headgasket. Do i need to get the head milled and pressure tested? Or can i just replace the gasket and studs?
The same overheat that damaged the head gasket could easily have warped the head. (The gaskets virtually never fail, otherwise) I wouldn't put the head back on unless it's been checked by a shop. Friend of mine just learned that the hard way, with a Jeep.
+1 on getting the head checked out by a shop. You might also want to take a good look at all the PCV piping, etc while it's off. It will never be easier than now.
