      Lovely.
It isn't really a predator grille, it's just big. The predator has a pinched shape, which is my biggest gripe with Lexus' styling and that doesn't apply here. I'm not crazy about the grille, but I'm okay with it.

That said, Lexus certainly has pulled it off a couple of times, though.

I dunno, I see the pinch, it just doesn't go full width like some of the Lexi. It almost looks like they mated a smaller Predator grille to a 4Runner front lower fascia, and slapped it all on an RX chassis.

Which is to say, I like it. In fact, I like the side profile of the current RX. It's just that hideous front end I can't get over.

And yes, you're correct-- I think the Predator looks better on the LC and RC.

So this is what a Lexus would look like without the absurd grille.

Anyway, it's a good looking GM concept so it will never see the light of day.

I get what you're saying, but the biggest part of this grille is convex and to me that's the dominant factor, so I don't read it as "pinched in". Either way I think it looks pretty good, though it's pretty busy and has a bit of a cartoon feel. Just not as much as many others. It might look better toned down for production. Perhaps we'll find out.

      Dear Chevy,

I would love a SS 1LE version of the toyota C-HR.

      Thanks.

I like how the rear glass and the tail lights seamlessly blend together, but there's no way they'd ever make it that way.

The i3 and up! have similar treatments, where the glass and tailgate and lights all kind of blend together and look like one big piece. Not as seamlessly as this concept, though, obviously.

I don't know if this is Alpha-based or not, but the Cadillac XT4 is supposed to be built on Alpha.
Ignoring all of the hybrid stuff and car show gingerbread, it's not a stretch to imagine GM giving both Cadillac and Chevy an Alpha-based CUV.

See, I think the F-Sport variant is where I'm seeing the strongest similarities. I agree the pinched in vs pinched out, too. Sort of an innie belly button vs and outie.

I like how it looks, but it just makes me wish they companies would make hot hatches in addition to the damn CUVs.

Everyone keeps saying Lexus, but to me it's generic Japanese. Someone in another thread referred to the trend as "high tech origami" which I think is a perfect description. It's not as offensively ugly as most Lexotas, but it's not very pretty either.

Can't wait to see the GMC version.

Am I the only one who thinks that's ugly?

But I guess it fits current styling trends very well. I just wish it was 1957.

      There's a certain admin....

Have you ever tried to pee wearing a gun on your hip? It is a delicate balance of avoiding pissing on yourself while trying to keep the gun from falling into the toilet. It takes three hands, if you ask me.

Sure you do dolly. Just better hope you have a classy chassis or are circled because you will not be making that scratch.

In North America, Chevy will sell you the following hatchbacks:

      Spark
      Sonic
      Cruze
      Volt
      Bolt

      I think they're about 1:1 with hatchbacks to CUVs/SUVs.
