Rating on them is 91H. Doing a quick search it looks like the Q3 comes with a 97H load rating. So now the question is if this is too much of a difference to be considered safe driving on?
If you don't tow or drive hard it should be fine. Thing is if a shop put it on its on them liability wise.
My opinion is Tire-Rack and Discount tire offer great deals at almost all Holidays and deals on snows too. You can sell the ones you have and go new or rum them and drive in fear or you can be totally fine. It's tough to say, but ratings do have wiggle room.
Thanks for that. I'll probably keep them and as I don't tow or carry much, they should be okay. I'm sure they'll look puny on the Q3, but it's only for 8 months of the year...
The q3 will use 215/65r16 compared to 205/55r16 on the golf
