Stupid WEC site, up and running now, but missed the first 18 minutes. I'll have to try and catch the start later on, during the night portion. Major bummer about that

The WEC site has been hit or miss for me. Even if it does work it's taking a couple of minutes for the stream to actually load. If it doesn't load, then I need to refresh and wait a couple of minutes to see if it will load the next time around. It seems like they aren't set up for the sort of traffic they are getting right now.

i missed several minutes at the start, too. WEC site had me waiting for about 25minutes while it was trying to connect; i ended up finding a great HD feed on Youtube while i was waiting .saved 10 Euros today!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmVwocz9c1s --the channel name is listed as 'Sports Central' on the search listing.

Anybody know the significance (if any) to Toyota' blue light tube in its headlights? Almost seem like a strip of black light for the night?

    9. #59
      it's a car identifier.

the Porsche's have a similar lighting scheme.

Am I understanding the classing correctly? It looks like there's 25 entries in P2, and 12-15 in GTE Am & Pro, but only 5 entries in the headline P1 class? I don't count the Nismo, IMO they have never been a competitor here and retired after a few laps anyway. Do they need to change the way the classing or rules work? I ask because any time you only have 5 entries and effectively only 2 teams (Toyota & Porsche) in a headline class, something is not right.

The new mid engined 911s are nimbler and able to hang with the Ferraris.
Touareg Hybrids are pretty nice, and the warm fuzzies I felt while driving the hybrid was actually the fingers of all of the German tax payers trying to reach into my wallet to get their money back. (Brendan@bwalkauto)

One Porsche left, yep. Going to be GT for them, Aston's running well, though.

One unsung team is Rebellion, they've already run a 12 hour and 24 hour race and both cars are running smooth.
      They are 1-2 in P2, Oreca 07 - Gibson V8 cars.

that incident investigation aught to be pretty simple - that 488 got punted for something that was 100% unavoidable.
