Everything apart from the M4 CS and M4 GT4 is a rendering, just an FYI to everyone.

BMW has been irrelevant to me since they started to play Chinese checkers with the numbers and amount of doors. Its sad, I really liked the m series 1, or series 1 m, ah I can't remember.

There's definitely some 3.0 CSL Hommage concept in that rendering

Switchable 4 wheel drive? KA CHING. perfect for sensible car guys that want to hoon and get to work in sh*tty weather. As someone who 'suffered' through a E92 xi but also saw its beauty (within 2 months I cut a 1.7 60' and drove through 8" snow on the same tires), I look forward to them doing performance AWD.

M3 honestly doesn't need more power (which necessitates AWD) but I guess BMW needs to keep upping the ante to keep up with the others.

Also, I can't believe BMW won't address the biggest problem with F80 series now... the lack of M4GC. They going to repeat this mistake again? I would have paid a decent premium to get a M4GC instead of M3.

Do people think the 6 speed is going to make it to the next generation M? The rate is way down compared to the E9x. I see on article mentioned it and agreed that it might make into the M2 and RWD M4, but the AWD M4 has auto only written all over it.

For some reason looking/reading through that felt like if I was looking/reading through a BMW ///M publication from the 90's...and not at all in a bad way.
"...long live the 6-series badge set to reappear on the next-generation 5-series GT." - Does that literally mean the next 5-series GT will be...a 6-series?

The DCT might not even make it, so I'd think the manual wouldn't either. But I hope it will.

AMG is kicking M's ass right now and they know it. AMG is going to continue to move forward as well. They have a hard fight coming if they think they are going to get it back with their engine noise through the speakers

I beg for you to expound.

You really think that's what BMW thinks? And the speaker **** has been exaggerated beyond belief. It's so minimal.

      well that escalated quickly!

So my friend I coded out active sound entirely with my Jb4 install, does my tune only M3 that makes 480 WHP not suck now?

If I'm honest I think AMG cars sound awesome, and have nicer interiors but not really seeing where else I'd rather have an AMG car. M cars still handle better, are lighter, make better track cars, have better transmissions and in general are more focused, but don't let these generally accepted facts change your opinions.

To add I really do like AMG cars, one day when I'm 50 or so I'd rather have one over what I have now. I really think they are better suited to a slightly older crowd.

It's hard to beat a V8 when it comes to the sound it makes.

But I don't mind the sound coming from my speakers either. It doesn't detract from my enjoyment of rowing my own gears. AMG doesn't do that and BMW still do it (for now).
