now return of the Jedi is even better!« »

you've heard the rumors, now see the footage:

http://waxy.org/random/video/R...g.mov

what the old movies needs is that special touch of class that the new movies possess. keep on editing, Lucas!

notice: this entire post is sarcasm.

That sucked. Do you have video of the new celebration scene at the end? I think they added the Gungans

This product that was on TV was available for four easy payments of $19.95. I would like a product that was available for three easy payments and one complicated payment. We can't tell you which payment it is, but one of these payments is going to be hard. Good luck, f****r. The last payment must be made in wampum!

This has been discussed before and how it doesn't make any sense. Why would Obi Won's spirit be old, and Annikan's be young. It makes no sense. I think it's very stupid and it clashes with the story.

Maybe it has something do with the age at which they died. Anakin kinda dies in #3 and becomes Vader. He dies young and that is why is image is younger.

can't watch it at work, but i can only imagine how awful it is

the movies were finished 20+ years ago, why he can't he leave them be???? on that note, i wish he would just release the THX versions on DVD- cleaned up quality and 5.1, that's all we need. not new crap that destroys the movies we grew up with. the Indiana Jones DVD's are great... why couldn't he just do something like that?

must get LD player and orginal trilogy...

There's actually a rip of the whole ROTJ DVD out there...but I wouldn't have it of course...*cough cough*...

In defense of these DVDs, the transfer is simply AMAZING. It's just far and away the cleanest you've ever seen Star Wars look. The colors are vibrant, the detail is crisp...it's as good an image as most modern films on DVD (if not better). They've gone through and cleaned up a lot of effects, mostly lightsaber colors. Plus, they finally color-matched and got rid of the matte lines in the Rancor scene. They added the capital city of Naboo to the ending montage as well. And you can see the Jedi Temple in the montage section with Coruscant.

BUUUUUT, they went and f**ked up the ghost part at the end. Greedo shooting first was bad enough, but Lucas managed to mess up ROTJ as well!

It doesn't matter what Lucas does with the movies, the trilogy will obviously be the greatest selling DVD of all time, and I don't think anything will ever take that away from them. I haven't watched any of the movies since I was a kid and will buy the set the day it comes out on DVD, I probably won't even notice the changes anyway...

The Rancor scene always bothered me. I am glad everything is just a little cleaned up. Cant wait to buy this on DVD

THAT MOTHER****ER!!!

Grrr! I always thought as a little kid that Anakin was pretty much 'damned' because of what he turned into, but Luke saved him, and in turn 'saved his soul' or something to that affect.

He just f'n ruined the entireseries. The ending music, this, the greedo/han scene, etc. It wouldn't have been so bad if he had just f'd up the new ones he created, because you can always be like 'well at least I have the old star wars to enjoy' but nOOooOOoo he had to **** it up too. That s.o.b!

I think Return OF The Jedi got ruined when they added that beak to the Sarlac Pit to make it look like the Little Shop Of Horrors and the new song in Jabba's Palace....

Yeah, but seems highly unlikely that that was created by anyone other than Lucas. Doesnt necessarily mean he'll use it, but I wouldnt be a bit surprised.

They had Greedo shoot first. F*ck that, Han Solo is a bad-ass, and as such, should be portrayed as one. That was a great scene, because it portrayed Solo as the character he was- an indifferent, cold sonofabitch who only cared about himself. Hence, shoot first and ask questions later. But Lucas felt he had to "legitimize" Solo's first shot. Bull****. And don't even get me started on the young Anakin ghost disaster...

I don't understand the problem with the Anakin ghost. I always assumed the ghost they showed originally was Anakin when he was a bit younger, but I guess I was wrong? Anyway it makes sense that his ghost would be what he was before becoming Darth Vader.
