I'm a newb on here, newb to VW's (since my 69' Beetle). Other forums I'm on have an "Official Wheel Fitment Thread". I searched but only found fitments mentioned in the 'Errmagerrd Neewwrb Qwerstshuns!'

Anyhow, maybe this can be made into a sticky or added to the DIY/All things you should know threads.

What is OEM wheels measurements (all trims)? Can people post up what they are running and how they fit?

Bolt pattern is 5x112 (easy, we know this), but what's OE width and offset? 16 x 7"? offset of +42mm?

OE Wheels are Hub centric and 57.1mm

Hope this helps others besides me

Sup fellas. Read through the thread and from what I’ve seen I shouldn’t have any problems with rubbing.
Pretty sure I won’t rub
18x9 et40
What tire should I run though?

Stock suspension but plan on lowering and rolling the front fenders if I have to. Spacers? Will I even need to roll the fenders? Only plan on lowering about an inch or so.

Just installed Solowerks and have a little rub going on with the tires and coils. Ordered 15mm front and 20mm rears. Fenders aren’t rolled. Tires are 225/45/17.

Measured with a tape measure and had about 1” between outside tire wall and fender. Worried about fender rub now, think fenders will need to be rolled?

I bought my 1st ever set of wheels and I think I might have made a mistake and got the wrong offset 18x8 et35. Running 225/40/18 tires as well. Since now I can’t return them what are my options to make sure the rear doesn’t rub. That’s been my only issue so far besides poking more then I wanted. I plan of keeping it stock height since it’s a daily for my and my fiancé .
So yeah why are my options?

Looking to ditch the 16s and just so happen to have my original RS3 wheels sitting around not being used. Can the fitment gurus in here give me an idea what 19x8 42 would be like on the Jetta? Will eventually lower on springs. Looking to get a tire w good amount of sidewall for comfort. Thoughts?
