Now, they've got people like you taking photographs of books and magazine articles!

There were also v8 powered solstices lapping at milford that never ever made it to production. Id be curious to see just how much this would bump the price though...

Also another mid-engined prototype but that never made it anywhere either.

      Yes.

I'll believe it when I see it.....in showrooms.

This could simply be an engineering exercise and nothing more.

This is more likely not a Vette at all but instead a Cadillac halo car.

And if you're a potential buyer.. would you buy the current generation? or wait?

The buyer of the Zora is not necessarily the same as the buyer of the C7/C8. This will probably be about $50k more than the regular Vette. And anyway, I bet that most potential buyers of the current C7 will be in the market again by the time the C8 is out.

I mean I guess that's possible, but I don't see the Zora happening while the C7 is still fresh.

The price points of the two cars would probably be somewhere around $70K apart. I don't see any reason why the two cars wouldn't be sold at the same time. Don't forget the C7 would probably be >3 years old by the time the Zora is released.

3 years is nothing for a Corvette

I guess that the Zora can come out in 2017 if they still count it as a C7, but everyone has been assuming that it's gonna be either the C8 or a C8.

It's already been said that the life cycle of the C7 will be much shorter than the C6. The Lutz article reinforces the rumor of a Corvette family tree, maybe we will see a FR priced like they are currently sold alongside the MR. When the C7 information came out one of the GM guys mentioned the C7 having a lower priced version that wouldn't wear the Stingray name as well..

There is no way in hell that they could justify the money to make a mid-engine car ONLY for Cadillac. No way in hell.

Ah I don't remember hearing that. I still think it would make sense for the Zora to come out a couple years before the FR C8.

Meh, I'd personally take either one.
