Dayum, i need to find a way to display them without my kid getting in the way... between me and the wife had over 100 she started giving some away, every time we went grocery shopping i would get one or two at least. need to get back on that habit.

It is a lot more fun as an adult when spending a $1 on something cool isn't half of your allowance. I couldn't believe I only spent $12 and almost went back for more.

That is a nice case and collection you have. Very jealous you were able to find some many in Race colours.

You guys have inspired me to make a run to the local Walmart and Toys R Us to see if I can find the Audi Quattro and the VW GTi.
I buy them and my 3 year old and I race them on her track. I started with my 10 year old and its been passed down to the 3 year old now.
We have a pretty good collection going.I grabbed a few of the old Ferrari 5 packs they sold so we have a pretty good collection of Ferrari's.

I have a small collection, I'll buy $20 worth when on sale every once in a while and give them to the little kids at different car shows throughout the summer. They get a big kick out of it.
I try to get Chevy's when I can.

First - you still have Toys R Us up there?!?! All of ours have closed in the US I think.

Second - I should have grabbed some quattros today. I passed up about 10 of them because I already have two.

Every time we go to Pomona swap meet my son gets about $20 worth. Not to mention what he gets at auto zone. The hit wheels expenditures are f'ing larger then my 401K

Canada does indeed still have Toys R Us!

The Quattros are fairly common to find now, I usually see a ton on the pegs whenever I get a chance to look for some.

Acquired a bit in the past year and a half. It's definitely becoming a problem but at least my GF doesn't seem to mind lol

One thing I have to say is kind of cool is to have a Matchbox of your car precise in the
      details.

1979 Matchbox Targa 911 SC in Guards red with cork interior:

1979 Targa 911 SC in guards red with cork interior, my seats are new:

But never buy Matchboxes of say vintage Rolls Royce’s or Maseratis and try this.
I decided to calculate the actual cost of ownership in 3 years and 0 miles driven(maybe 2-3 miles pushed) the 951 cost me $3695.21(maintenance parts). If I was a betting men, I would bet that this is far from the total this 951 will cost me. (PawaK_2001)

Yeah the Cdn business unit was profitable and split off when the US side went bankrupt.

I am hoping to get up there this weekend and check out the selection. I picked up a few at Christmas, including a 2 car combo pack with a white M2 and WRB STi.

Lucky! I miss Toys R Us. It was nice to go to a dedicated toy store and now I don't think we have any left.

Yeah it is great to be able to just go up and wander around to find almost everything you need. I remember going to them when they first opened to pick up AFX and Tyco slot cars, unfortunately it seems they don't carry those anymore. Plus I hate going to Walmart, the ones close to me are a zoo.

Ive bought many of these on this page myself over the last couple months. Building quite a selection for my son's B-day and first major Hotwheels racing track in September. Between now and then I'll probably find another 20 or so.

Headsup - Just picked up a Spider Mobile dune buggy, ala the 70's Spiderman comics.

I'd say there's a good number of TCL members who probably have the Lego VW Bus! Such a cool model, I still need to get the pieces to lower it
