Cracked downpipe weld

My '04 TT Mk1 225 has a cracked downpipe weld just below the flexible section (sounds like an R8 now :p). Looking for suggestions on what to do.

1) Remove downpipe, have new flex section welded in (suggestions where to get this, and what size is it?). Any suggestions for places to weld in the NY/CT area appreciated.
2) Replace downpipe with factory new ($$$)
3) Replace downpipe with 3rd party (https://www.ebay.com/itm/EXHAUST-DO...TER-SEAT-LEON-1-8T-CUPRA-R-225HP/191235099209 or https://www.ebay.com/itm/BM-BM70564-EXHAUST-PIPE-Front/302945436022 or https://www.partsgeek.com/ss/?i=1&ssq=2004+audi+tt+quattro+exhaust+pipe&x=0&y=0) - reasonable prices, quality and fit questionable. The API looks like a decent match.

I don't want to remove the cats as it's a street car and I'd never pass inspection. I was thinking of doing a JetHot coating (https://www.jet-hot.com/thermal-barrier) as well, to prevent further corrosion and reduce heat.

Suggestions? Thanks!
