Im somewhat tempted to just touch them up with black paint so they're less visible (car is black, scrapes are white).
I got a small touch up bottle from my local dealer for it.

Bat and Demuro's site just wanted reserves too low so I intend to sell on my own. BAT was willing to go higher than Demuro but still too risky for me to consider since the site is just so flooded with vehicles. My dad made the mistake of agreeing to their low reserve demand and it bit him in the ass.

A specialty MB site is going to feature it and ill post to autotrader etc.

From a financial standpoint, I agree with the decision to sell.

From a collector's standpoint, I guess I can understand (though I'm not a car collector and I don't see value in owning something but not using it as intended).

But from a car nerd perspective... Yeah, it's a special car, but it's still just a car IMO. It wouldn't be sacrilegious to build a special car if it makes you happy.

So I'm 50/50 on this move. If you can't get what you need for the car, will you still build it and have fun with it?

Oh, and I'm sure you're already on top of the MB forums and social media groups. Would it be worth reaching out to sources like Hagerty/Hemmings, or even [barf]Jalopnik[/barf] to try and get additional attention?

seems reasonable for a 1 of 1 car. If I was a merc guy I'd be picking it up from you ... too bad I'm only a peasant with VW/Audi preference .

Never heard of this site, I'm sure they'll eventually have auctions.

      Good luck.

Yeah, I feel it's a very fair price considering the car. It's about $10-15k or so more than a standard car with similar mileage condition but IMO, it's worth the extra $ for the interior and brakes alone. I am not making any money on the car either so not trying to be greedy.

I'm honestly surprised that the price is as low as it is, you're definitely not trying to profit off this deal.

For as rare of a spec as this is, I'm sure someone will pick it up and love it.

If Doug himself hadn't already had a white E63 estate, I'd say this would be such a great car for him. It's the feature-iest of the quirky.

If anyone is interested in the car but needs funding, shoot me a PM. I have the best source for quick and reasonable rate loans for cars.

OP - I'm curious to know more about your modus operandi with cars.

You bought this unicorn 2 months ago. You've made a few changes to make it yours, and now you're selling it.

Other cars of yours are excruciatingly built to your spec - I'm referring to your Z31 and the 427 BWM wagon. Those cars took years to build.

How do you decide what to really build vs. what to lightly breathe on and sell quickly?

The poor but vicarious wing of TCL wants to know.

And me personally, I want to know where RVAE34 comes from. I noticed that your mbmarket post erroneously called you RVAE38, which made me double take like I knew you - until I realized I really don't know the name's origin.

Prett much every car I've built took 6 months or less and was fairly easily able to be replicated. The z31 is my Sistine Chapel and far exceeds anything I ever imagined I would build.

The e63 was such a rare and amazing spec of a car ive wanted for a while that I had to buy it. But then I started to realize that unicorn status made it harder to justify using as a basis for a build. All my previous builds started as far less special examples. Not only that but AMG's tend to go for dirt cheap when modded and I also tend to at least break even or make money when I sell so I fear that with this car, id spend a ton in mods and lose the value of the car itself which would sting twice as hard. No matter what, I wouldn't have kept the car more than a year or so either way. So if I can break even now, I'll buy another lesser special, cheaper car and mod it.

As far as the usernames, rvae34 is because I am in Richmond VA and when I joined most forums way back, I had a turbo bmw e34 525 I built over several years when I made very little money. When I started Instagram, I had my bmw e38 m7 so I chose rvae38 as my username.

Don't sell. Wrap it in either Mexico or Miami blue, will look intense with that interior. Side note, what was the name of the restaurant in Richmond on the main drag with the wood interior and large glass windows? Had a great whisky menu and top food but **** if I can remember the name of it. Went about 6 years ago on a pilgrimage to Culpepper for moonshine. And Buzz n Ned's of course.

I would never hide the beautiful non metallic white paint. I only want a white amg wagon.

Not sure which restaurant you are referring to. Sounds like all of them
